To be fair, that's inevitable given the fact she's 30 years older But in actual fact it aint 100% true. Don't forget Adele released her first album at 19, Madonna her first album at 25. By age 25 it's conceivable that Adele will have released album 3. No-one knows what's going to happen in the future as I can't imagine too many thought in 1983 that Madonna would still be going strong 28 years later. Comparing the success/sales of both artists' sophomore releases is interesting as well (I've no doubt that '21' will outsell Like A Virgin worldwide some time in the next year or 2 even though LAV has had a 26 year head start and indeed was released in an era when albums historically sold far more numbers). But obviously Madge has sold consistently big over a long career and we don't know what will happen with Adele's career going forward. That's conjecture.
